Quarterly Report
Silicon Valley Commercial Space
Q2 2017
Despite high demand for large office space, continued occupancy losses over the last three quarters have led to increased vacancy rates throughout Silicon Valley. And while low Q2 commercial space deliveries might appear to indicate a slowdown in regional commercial development, there is a significant amount of space in the pipeline. The 11 million square feet of new commercial space under construction in Q2 was more than in any single quarter since Q4 2000.
