Data for the Silicon Valley COVID-19 Dashboard is from Santa Clara County’s Open Data Portal, San Mateo County’s data dashboard, Code for America Brigades, California Department of Public Health, New York Times, and the World Health Organization. Note that data from the most recent 5 days will likely be variable. Data is by reporting date except for test data and all of the Santa Clara County, which are by specimen collection date. The Dashboard was created as a collaboration with the Stanford Future Bay Initiative (Student Lead: Simone Speizer; Mentor: Derek Ouyang). Population estimates used to calculate new cases per capita were for January 2020 for the counties, California, and the United States (from the California Department of Finance and United States Census Bureau Population Clock) and for mid-year 2020 for the world population (from the United Nations Population Division, via the Population Fund World Population Dashboard).
